They are on the search for a Solicitor that specialises in Financial Mis-selling PCP car claims.

Your Responsibilities

• Evaluating potential claims for mis-selling, particularly related to PCP and car finance, and pursuing redress on behalf of clients

• Dealing with financial mis-selling claims – PCP/car finance commission

• Maintaining client records and contact information, via our case management system

• Progressing financial mis-selling claims from inception through to settlement, including litigated matters

• Preparing and submitting claims and complaints to FCA members, brokers and the FOS / FSCS and, ultimately, the issuing of proceedings

• Managing all aspects of the civil litigation process, including drafting statements of case, track allocation, witness exchange, documents exchange, trial preparation (including bundling, instructing Counsel etc).

• Providing ad-hoc training to paralegals and first-time litigators on all of the above aspects of litigation and beyond

• Ensure all legal work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and legal standards, including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines.

Experience required:

• Qualified as a solicitor (3-5 years plus experience)

• Specific knowledge of PCP agreements, mis-selling and related legal issues

• An ability to demonstrate significant civil litigation experience

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Self-motivated, driven and proactive

• Positive team player who is able to build rapport at all levels

• Excellent communication and organisation skills

• Flexible approach and calm under pressure

• Problem-solving and sound judgement

• Excellent organisation and diarising skills

• Ability to work quickly within a fast-paced environment whilst not compromising on quality and substance

Remuneration and Work-base preference:

The salary on offer for this position is between £40,000 and £70,000 (DOE). This is a wide range but they are looking to take 2 hires on at varying levels.

For this role you will be expected to work in the office 2 days a week, and the rest can be remote.
