Our client, a well known building energy management business based in the Bury area are looking to hire a Credit Controller to join their finance function.

You will be working within the Credit Control team and your duties will include:

  • Supporting the Credit Control team by assisting in day-to-day administration tasks including data entry and handling paperwork
  • Producing daily Sales Ledger reports, liaise with customers to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the Credit Control inbox
  • Issuing and reconciling Customer Statements
  • Managing Documents and Records: Archiving, recording and retrieving company files, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist the wider Finance Department
  • Recording receipts in accordance with customer remittances
  • Chasing debtors and late payments by telephone/e-mail to reduce debtor days and recording actions
  • Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices and liaising with regional teams/administrators to resolve outstanding queries
  • Working to monthly and annual collection targets
  • Ensuring all major accounts are working to their cash cycle
  • Sales ledger Maintenance i.e. (Investigating unallocated payments / customer statement reconciliations)

The experience and qualities needed for this position are as follows:

  • Previous Office experience desired but not essential as full training will be given.
  • An understanding of Microsoft packages in particular excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to deliver results
  • Time management – good planning skills
  • Self-motivated team player - Comfortable working on your own or as part of a team
  • Strong inter-personal skills – a customer focused person with a positive attitude
  • Polite and firm telephone manner
  • Ability to establish maintain good client relationships both internally and externally at all levels.

The client are offering a salary of up to £22500 per annum (DOE)
