They are on the search for a Solicitor that specialises in Housing Disrepair."
Your Responsibilities:
• Run a caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims on behalf of tenants
• Comply with Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act
• Draft Letters of Claim
• Collation of special damages
• Review housing records to assess liability
• Review surveyor’s reports – Claimant and Defendant
• Negotiation and settlement
• Mediation
• Liaise with counsel
• Issue Court Proceedings
• Use Proclaim (claims management software) competently and effectively, ensuring that business process and policy is adhered to.
• Cultivate and maintain excellent client relationships, always putting our clients first.
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to consistently high service levels and productivity with internal and external firms.
• Carry out other duties, as and when required, to assist in the smooth running of the business.
Experience you need to bring to the table:
• Housing Disrepair experience essential, we would also consider applicants with significant (3-5 years plus) contentious civil litigation experience
• Case Management System (Proclaim is used) experience is a must to be able to handle volume litigation
• Demonstrable experience of being able to work at pace, with ability to manage competing priorities within own caseload
• Have experience of litigating own matters
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisation and diarising skills
• A positive and flexible approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to build rapport at all levels
• Problem-solving skills and sound judgement

Remuneration and Work-base preference:
The salary on offer for this position is between £40,000 and £70,000 (DOE). This is a wide range but they are looking to take 2 hires on at varying levels.
For this role you will be expected to work in the office 2 days a week, and the rest can be remote.
